I'd like some help this morning. Here is a pic or 2 of my situation, you can see we've got a bit over 2 inches on the deck this morning and it's still coming down. What I have also is a nice layer of ice underneath the snow due to all the rain that happened last night and yesterday.
Davidson county schools just closed as of about 5 minutes ago and Williamson is still open at the time I'm typing this.
According to the news Joelton has 2 inches, North Nash 2 inches. Nashville itself has 1 inch and south into Brentwood/Franklin/Colombia has under an inch. Antioch and Murfreesboro also under an inch.
The street cams are showing that the interstates are good, no accumulation just wet. Majors like Old Hickory/Donelson Pike etc are starting to accumulate and as always the secondary roads are the ones that do not get attention.
At this point I'm inclined to delay 2 hours and recheck. But I'd like to hear from those south? How is it down there?
I'm hearing that a lot of Nashville roads are good. Some of you may remember Clayton who used to work with us. He works downtown now on the 3rd shift, said he could see cars flying by all at normal speeds.
ReplyDeleteSnow started coming down at around 3 am in Smyrna. It is supposed to stay in this area till about 10 am. I don't know what's under that pretty white stuff. We will see how the drive goes.
